A man of constant sorrow

A man of constant sorrow Following the journey of Bojack Horseman, an  anthropomorphic stallion, the animated tragicomedy of the same title paints a resonating story with splashes of desolation, strokes of misery and shades of dark humor. Pun intended. Formerly the star of a 90's sitcom, Bojack's irrelevancy in today's ever-changing society leaves him reeking of desperation and distress, leading to a series of devastating decisions that destroys everyone in its path as he tries to claw his way out of his own pit of self-indulgence and despair. It is a cinematic masterpiece and one Netflix's best original work #notsponsored #netflixsponsormepls. And while we wait for the streaming service to get back to me, let us discuss a prominent theme from the show - depression.  A vile, repulsive creature that feasts on every morsel of insecurity and vulnerability to fuel its endless famine for emotional bloodshed. It actively seeks those drunk with agony, blinding newfound victims...

42

42 Life asked Death,  "Why do people love me but hate you?"  Death replied  "Because you are a beautiful lie...", a wry grin manifesting across his face "and I, a painful truth".  And with that humorous dialogue gracefully painting a melancholic forecast, let us attempt to unravel an age old question.  "What is the meaning of life?"   An unassumingly straightforward question so intricately woven with ambiguity it has haunted even the most brilliant philosophical minds for eons, and continues to overwhelm anyone who dares provoke the great existentialism beast.  *Gulp* According to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything is simply, and get this, 42. Now, do note that this response was only revealed after 7.5 million years by Deep Thought, a supercomputer created to answer that exact question. And after millennial of calculations, its reply seems rather...underwhelming. 42?...

Kumbaya

Kumbaya  Religion. What a delicate subject to broach. I don't understand its premise, and so I do not believe in God. Contrary to the title of my blog, Kumbaya, I in fact do not believe that there is a higher, omnipresent being dictating the very fabric of time and space. Unless...you count Time Lords in which case, if there are British gentleman flying around in their Time And Relative Dimension In Space (TARDIS) capsule, I wouldn't mind devoting my faith to them because they have saved the universe multiple times. Its all documented as well!  Alas, it is but a fictional show.  I discovered the word "Kumbaya" only recently from Hopsin who published a song by the same title back in 2020. That said, I only bothered to research what the word only today. Don't ask why. The word "Kumbaya" is of African American origin, and is known to be sung in the Gullah culture which ties in with to enslaved West Africans back in the 16th Century. "Kum ba yah" o...
